On Veterans Day, we pay tribute to the service and sacrifice of the men and women past and present who in defense of our freedom have bravely worn the uniform of the United States. These men and women in uniform have given of themselves so that we may be free. May God bless each and every one of these brave men and woman who unselfishly gave of themselves!!!

My sentiments as well sweetie. God Bless all of our veterans this day!
Thanks to all of the veterans out there. I've never had anyone in the military in my family, so it is hard to conceive the hardships endured. Thank you also for stopping by my blog. I've enjoyed looking over yours!! Sally
Saying "thank you" never seems to be enough considering the sacrifices these heroes from the past, present and future, have made just so that we can enjoy our freedom!! We certainly must never forget. xoxo

I have been blessed with six daughters, 16 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. My husband, Johnny, who was my best friend and soulmate, passed away unexpectedly on December 14. Every other Sunday our large family gets together at our house and celebrate "Family Sunday." I retired two years ago but still work occasionally.
Our oldest daughter, Sherry Jo, was brutally murdered on November 25, 2007. An arrest has not been made.

Our Travels
During the past several years Johnny and I loved to travel. Our very favorite vacation spot was Cape Cod which we visited almost every year for the last 13 years. We also took our grandchildren on short trips in Pennsylvania among which were the Grand Cayon, Pennsylvania and Gettysburg.

Salem
We were mesmerized by Salem.
Orlando
We had a wonderful time in Orlando and rented a car and drove to Tallahassee to visit my dearest friend.
Child of my child Heart of my heart Your smile bridges the years between us I am young again ... discovering the world through your eyes You have the time to listen And I have the time to spend. Delighted to gaze at familiar loved features ... made new in you again Through you ... I'll see the future Through me ... you'll know the past In the present we'll love one another As long as these moments last ~~ Author Unknown ~~
To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty; To find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived; This is to have succeeded. - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Madame X
Madame X, starring Lana Turner, is my all time favorite movie.
Amish Country
We live a short distance from Amish Country. Their simple way of life is intriguing.
Our Pool
We have a large pool that our entire family enjoys.

Yes, Sweetie this is a day to remember our Veterans and also pray that our men and women can home to their families.
Hugs,
Chris
Morning Sweetie...It seems like we too often take our freedom for granted and that one day out of the year is hardly enough to honor them... ;-) Bo
God Bless them and their families. Beautiful post sweetie.
