Blue - My Favorite Color

My friend, Sue, has a shop (Sue's Floral Creations). Sue created this arrangement for me. I especially like the vase which she bought at a flea market.

This belonged to my Mother.

I bought this plate at a shop in Gettysburg.

My favorite color is blue and has been since I was a little girl. I have blue accents in the living room and dining room.

Please keep two of my friends in your prayers. My friend, Carol, is in Hospice at a nursing home. She is suffering from her second bout with cancer. She was moved from the hospital to a nursing home. She is a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, and friend. My friend, Rosalie, had surgery yesterday to remove an aneurysm in her brain. It was a six hour operation. Her surgery was successful and she has movement in her feet and hands which was a concern. She has a second aneurysm which will be removed later. Rosalie is a very good friend with home I worked for over 20 years. She is a wonderful person.

Sometimes I have the "blues" too... I love your vases and flowers. I have a thing for that blue willow? dinnerware. But have never had any. I've never in my whole life had a blue kitchen.. shame on me..
I just prayed for your friends. I have to tell you in May they said I had a small aneurysm. I had those tests and then they sent me to the hospital for a 4 vessel cerebral thingy... they went in my thigh and u into my brain... people all over prayed for me and whe they did it all they found NOTHING! I have had no more headaches, and nothing... GOD IS ABLE TO DO ANYTHING! HE healed me of an aneurysm and I am believing for your friend to be okay as well. God bless you Rosalie... and heal you in the name of Jesus.
Walkin in faith,
lea

First of all let me say Sherry Jo is beautiful....what a loss...my cousin lives in Fremont Ohio and she had a daughter also murdered, and it is still unsolved....

Your blue and white dishes are beautiful....

And I don't know if it is my age, or what, but there sure does seem to be a lot of cancer around....it's scary, for you never know what the next day will bring....I have two friends with cancer right now.....I pray your friend will be healed, and I pray they find a cure real soon.... Thanks for stopping by my blog, I'll stop back to say hi again soon..... you never can have enough blogging friends, right? judy

Sweetie:
Blue and Red are my favorite colors. I wear them and decorate with them. I love the vase and flower arrangement. The other items too. The plate from Gettysburg is really nice.
I pray both of your friends stay free of pain and get well very soon.

Good morning, Sweetie girl, thanks for coming by to see all my pinks, which I am slowly but surely running OUT of. Don't have a clue what I can post about NEXT Pink Saturday.
I, too, love blue and will have a posting up for BLUE MONDAY. You should do it, too...you have such lovely pieces. I think I have a touch of blue in every room in my house.
love, bj

I love blue too. I assume that the plate bought in the Gettysburg gift shop is a reproduction. I love it. My kitchen is blue and I have accents of blue and maroon in my front room. I just love the fall colors too. My favorite color is peach, the orangy peach and not the pinky peach! I would be happy to keep your friends in my prayers. What trials they are called to endure right now. I'll pray for them to have strength to endure it also. I wanted to say too that I love the family picture that is at the top of your blog. That's absolutely priceless! Amazing how fast our family grows after we're "done raising them!" Cindy

Hi Sweetie! I'm so glad you stopped by! First I must say I am so sorry you lost your beautiful daughter;I can't even begin to imagine the anger and agony you feel. I am happy you have such a beautiful, large family to help you get through the tough days! My mom had an aneurysm 1 month before I was to move 10hrs away from her. Thankfully she fully recovered but was such a scary thing to go through; my best wishes to your friends (my dear you are having a rough couple of years it seems!) I'm glad your daughter kidnapped you for the day and you found what sounds like some yummy things. I'll be back to visit often! Have a great Sunday - Sincerely, Jeannette

Hello Sweetie and thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment.
First off I want to say how sorry I am about the loss of your beautiful daughter. Losing a child is the most painful thing that can happen to a parent. Please accept my sincere sympathy.

I want to congratulate you on a beautiful bunch of grandkids. I have 12 and 14great's from my five children so far.
They are all so precious.
I hope you will come back for another visit. I'll be visiting yours again.
Oh yes I want to mention that I also do genealogy. Some kind of fun isn't it?

Love your blue in the dishes, decorating, etc. I have shades of blue in practically every room in the house..some with yellow, or white, or brown. Seems like I never tire of it...and I try to collect (yard sale and goodwill sales) blue and white stoneware, glass or what ever.

Have a very blessed week...May the Son Shine on you all the time.
