Blue Monday

This is my first posting for Blue Monday. Blue is and always has been my favorite color. I remember when I was a young child I had a favorite blue blanket. And today - I still have a favorite blue blanket. I'd like to thank Sallie at http://smilingsally.blogspot.com/ for hosting Blue Monday.

“Blue color is everlastingly appointed by the deity to be a source of delight.” -- John Ruskin

I have a small collection of pottery and usually have two or three pieces on display. Each of these pieces was given to me by a friend and each has a special meaning.

Happy Blue Monday!!!

I am delighted to know you Sweetie. Thanks for your kind post on my blog. As for the Blue Willow pattern, I think it is a good subject for a blog entry. I have a small antique childrens tea set in that pattern. My grandmother had some every day dishes in that pattern as well. I think that's why I connect to it.

I wanted to tell you something. I was so sorry to learn about the tragic loss of your oldest daughter. I see that it has been less than a year. What you don't know about me is that I lost my oldest daughter in a car accident 10 years ago. While our situations are somewhat different, I do understand what that loss is. You are in my prayers. I hope you find the answers you seek. I want you to know that though it may come slowly, healing does come with time.

Your pottery is lovely. I am amazed that you are a mother of six and a grandmother of 16! You are a very young-looking grandma.

I'm so sorry about your daughter, and I hope that her murderer is caught and brought to justice. My condolences to you and your lovely family.

Thanks for your kind words when you just visited! I do try to correlate my music with whatever the post is about. Today there really was no song but I love the song "Precious and Few" and the words kind of go along with the story in the book. It's kind of a weird thing I do!

Happy Blue Monday! I had to stop by to say Hi! My favorite Aunt's name was "Sweetie". Well, it was actually Marie, but she was called Sweetie her whole life. Even the nuns at school called her "Sweetie"- how spoiled was that? That's just how precious she was. It sounds like you are, too. ~ Robyn
