Blue Monday

Happy Blue Monday!
This week I'd like to show you some of my recent blue finds. I bought the first two plates at a small shop that sells vintage and antiques. The plates are by Taylor, Smith, and Taylor.

This plate is the English Abbey by Taylor, Smith & Taylor.
This plate was in a box lot at a sale. I could not find any markings on it. The design is blue and gold and the edging is gold.
I love this blue hobnail candy dish. I bought it at a flea market.

Blue is my favorite color and each Monday I look forward to seeing so many beautiful blues. I'd like to thank Sallie at
http://smilingsally.blogspot.com/ for hosting Blue Monday. Please visit Sallie and find your way to some wonderful Blue Monday posts

I looked at your display, and mumbled, "I don't know which I like better." Just as I was deciding...

My husband looked over my shoulder and said, "The first two; that's always been your favorite." He's right! :-) Thanks for sharing. Happy Blue Monday!

All are lovely, but the last one...oooooh! I have a few dessert plates that were my mother-in-laws that are very similar. I love them for their design and treasure them because they were hers.

Happy Blue Monday!

Greetings from Finland and our blue lakes!
I came just home from the lake, where we have our summer cottage.

Those old English dishes are so romantic and beautiful. I have to one very old English style plate like yours.

Have a happy week!

I love your blue plates from England. Blue is a color I wear but don't use in decorating. I just don't have an emotional connection with it. I do however love Blue Willow.

Hi Sweetie,

Things are busy this week so I've had to combine both my Pink Saturday and Blue Monday visits. Loved everything you showed both pink and blue. I just love the old pink depression glass and I am in envy of you for having found that sweet blue hobnail dish. It's beautiful. What a lucky find for you. Have a great week!!

Hi Sweetie , oh my what good treasures you have found ! The plate with the gold edge looks like it might be "flow Blue", that would be a valuable piece. Did you ever look it up yet, I haven't had time.

I adore all of these blue pieces! Blue is one of my favs, but I am noticing I don't have a lot of it in my home decor. Strange.
