Bloomin' Tuesday

Happy Bloomin' Tuesday

I have one lone rose still blooming. It makes me sad that summer is over.

I planted vica and marigolds in pots around the pool. The vica rooted itself. My goal now is to have it as a ground cover surrounding the pool

For the two past years (and this year) I bought a pot of ivy which I hung on the front porch. At the end of the season, I planted the ivy next to the deck. It is really thriving.
This is the last geranium of summer. It's still beautiful.
Thank you, Jean of http://msgreenthumbjean.blogspot.com/ for hosting Bloomin' Tuesday. To see more beautiful blooms, please visit Jean.

It is sad to see Summer blooms come to an end. Maybe fall will have some surprises. There's just something about good old Ivy!

Your Geranium is a beautiful shade of pink. Those Vinca Vines will spread happily all over. I have some growing in hanging planters and they die back to the root every winter & resprout every spring.

Your flowers still look so good. The rose is really pretty. I love the fall leaf colors, so I never mind having an end to summer. Hope you have a good day.

Great rose picture with the water drops. Lovely. My vine rooted in the yard too. I didn't know it would do that. The geranium color is lovely. Jean

I like that Vinca as ground cover. We have some of it at the Memphis house. Ivy, too but it will sure get out of hand if you let it. We have had a hard time keeping it off the brick at the back of the house. It is very tenacious and will grow with little moisture.

Aren't the last flowers of summer something special??? Maybe we enjoy them so much more because we know winter is coming and they'll be gone.
Hugs.

Dear Sweetie,
First I want to say I am very very sorry about your daughter. My son had a good friend that was murdered brutally and he still has not recovered from the shock so my heart goes out to you. Second thank you so much for the comment in my blog. I love your photographs...the last rose of summer...how sweet and a bit sad.
Take the best of care.
Kindest regards,
Pat

Hi Sweetie, I love your geranium plant. The color is just beautiful. Sorry to hear your roses are about done. Mine will probably last another month. I also have ivy in a basket in the patio area, it has grown so much this year. Must like alot of water and heat.
Love, Ann

What a pretty rose! I just planted a new hybrid tea called 'Queen Elizabeth', which has a very similar color; however, it seems to not have much fragrance.
