Fun with the Red Hat Society

Last week our Red Hat Society ladies had a lovely luncheon at The Iron Rail Bed & Breakfast. The lunch was exquisite and was served by the owner who was a very cordial host. As you can see, everyone was dressed in grand attire.

After lunch, our host treated us to a tour of the house. The house was built in 1885 for the superintendent of the East Broadtop Railroad.
This beautiful coal stove is actually used.
This antique organ fascinated me.
This is an area in one of the bedrooms.
A sitting area in a bedroom.
A lovely bedroom.
One of the bedrooms has a claw foot tub in its bathroom.

My next post will be of the antique/vintage/craft shop that we visited which is located near The Iron Rail Bed & Breakfast.

I'm so glad that you joined the red hatters. There were two active groups around here a couple of years ago, but they've disappeared. It looks like so much fun. I've read the two books and enjoyed both of them. Check them out from your library.

Did I notice that there was a birthday girl in the bunch?
(Red dress and a purple hat)
It sounds like you had a wonderful time. Maybe I should think of joining a group in my area.

Well, don't you just look good in that outfit. Glad you found one you liked. I would look like the lady in slacks. I hate wearing dresses.
That B&B looks like a wonderful place to stay. I bet the lunch was good too. How nice of her to take you on a tour.
Glad you had a fun time.
Love Nancy

What an interesting place to tour. I love the tub! I saw your Amish picture in the sidebar. I live close to Amish Country here, too. My girls and I make an annual trip there every spring. We love it.
