My friend, Sue, who owns Sue's Floral Art, called me on Friday and invited me to go to her shop. Sue had offered to dry flowers from Johnny's funeral and make arrangements for my daughters and me. She wanted to show me some ideas that she had for arrangements as the flowers are almost ready to make arrangements. Sue is one of the sweetest persons that I know. I asked her if it was okay to take some photos of her beautiful work. These are some of the lovely blues in her shop.
This lovely wreath is on the inside of the front door of the shop.
The blue berries and blue ribbon on this wreath are lovely together.
I really like this blue China bell.
This dried arrangement is my very favorite. There are a variety of shades of blue and the total effect is beautiful.
Sally at http://smilingsally.blogspot.com/ hosts Blue Monday. Each week there are more posts than the week before. There are so many wonderful blue posts. It's exciting to meet new blogger friends. Thanks Sally!

Hi Sweetie, what a nice thing to do for you . I love her work, especially the last one.You need to get that blue bell.
What a lovely photo of you and your family! Love that pretty blue bell!
ENJOY!
I don't know why you need anything on this post but that gorgeous photo of your big family in their blue jeans. I would imagine with a family that big that blue bell would come in handy.
Your friend's work is fabulous! My personal favorite was the wreath with the blue berries ane and the gingham checked ribbon...would be perfect in my country living room! How precious that she has offered to use the flowers from your dear husband's services to make arrangements for you and your dear daughters to keep as a remembrance of the love shown to you at the time of your loss. I am praying for you Sweetie because I know your loss occured only about a month before my own dear husband went home to be with Jesus. It is so true what I've always heard at the death of a Christian...our loss is heaven's gain, but oh how I long to see him again. I know you must feel the same. My prayers are with you.
Diane

Drying the flowers from your husband's service is such a precious idea.
I hope this makes you giggle. My dad, when my mom died, took all the wooden stakes from the funeral spray flowers and took them home to use in his garden. He was such a practical guy. He just didn't want that good wood to be wasted. It makes me giggle when I remember.
I hope the dried arrangements turn out wonderfully.

Hi Sweetie,
The arrangement idea is wonderful. This is away from the subject, but I was going to tell you that a friend and I made a memory garden in honor of her Mom. We planted her favorite things and the Grandchildren each made a stepping stone to go through the little garden. The stepping stones were made from kits bought at Michael's I believe. This might be a nice project to get your grandkids involved.
Losing a husband is so hard.I went through that a while back. Your kids and grandkids are a blessing....especially at a time like this.
She really does beautiful work! She is such a wonderful person to do this for you.
Hi Sweetie...What beautiful arrangements. I have never heard of drying the flowers from a funeral like that. I think it's a wonderful idea. Hugs...Debbie
