Our Outside Christmas Decorations

I finished decorating the outside at the beginning of the week. Our daughters helped me as Hubby has been having some health problems. I buy a few new pieces each year and alternate some of the decorations. A few years ago I used all blue lights. The next year I switched back to white.
Please click on the pictures to enlarge.

The Nativity is my very favorite. It sits in front of the addition to our home. The wreaths on the windows have gold ribbons.
This is the Nativity close up.

I love this star. I put red lights on the shrubs that we planted on the side and front of our house, red candle lights in the windows, and white lights every other place.

I've had the hanging star for years. I leave it up until the end of January.

The wheels on the buggy and the legs on the horse look like they are moving.

This is my Nativity flag. I've had it for years also.
The younger grandchildren really like these reindeer.

I bought these Christmas carolers at a craft show years ago.

The angel is new this year.
I hope that you enjoyed our Christmas decorations. One of our Christmas traditions is driving around town and looking at the lovely decorations. Of course, I'll take my camera. Tomorrow five our our grandchildren are in their Christmas programs at the elementary school. I love attending the programs. This weekend is the Festival of Trees, a food and craft show, and our granddaughter's piano recital. I have a lot of my baking done and hope to finish up on Sunday. The grandchildren are so caught up in the Christmas spirit that it is contagious.

Love it all but especially that nativity!! I have a stable and nativity but the nativity is plastic light up. I haven't been able to get it out for two years bz Nicholas' car is up on jacks in the garage and blocks the cabinet the pieces are in. SIGH, maybe next year. Love your outside decor and I'm so glad you shared it. Cindy

Thanks for coming to see me Sweetie, so glad you did! Bless your heart, such a tragedy, your sweet daughter, I'm so so sorry. Your family is large and so beautiful! I have 2 children and my first grandbaby Amelia was born 18 months ago! I am very sentimental and cried reading your sidebar poem about a grandchild, do you mind if I copy it to my blog? (if I know how to do it! LOL)
You live in my very favorite state to go country shopping in, I go to the Lancaster area as often as possible! Your decorations look beautiful, I hope you all have a blessed Christmas and come by again OK! xo Sue

Sweetie:
Your house looks like it is saying "come on in". All of it is wonderful but my favorite is the blue angel. That nativity scene is so pretty. It looks like carved wood. I bet the horse and buggy are really cute moving. I love it all.

What lovely photos of your decorations! I enjoyed clicking on all them to enlarge them. I especially wanted to see the carolers. Your grandchildren sure keep you busy and what fun having them around must be for you.

What a beautiful Christmas display. With the economy as bad as it has been I think the majority of people have been tightening their belts for most of the year just so they can afford to do Christmas up up with the lights and decorations like they always have. It certainly is a bright spot in the gloom of what we may be facing come the new year.

I am looking forward to the pictures when you take the tour of lights.

Have a wonderful weekend.
