My granddaughter, Brooke, spends three days a week with me. She's not completely awake yet in this shot.
I have too many collections. My Cats Meow, porcelain doll, and spoon collections are packed in the attic for now. I do still have a few Boyd's dolls on display. I took three out of the display case and took their picture. I certainly didn't interupt Prince's nap.
I keep these Boyd's bears in the bedroom where my granddaughter, Brooke, stays when she's here. Brooke Loves the furry rug.
Prince certainly isn't sleeping here. He's trying to catch the imaginery squirrel in the tree.

I have been blessed with six daughters, 16 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. My husband, Johnny, who was my best friend and soulmate, passed away unexpectedly on December 14. Every other Sunday our large family gets together at our house and celebrate "Family Sunday." I retired two years ago but still work occasionally.
Our oldest daughter, Sherry Jo, was brutally murdered on November 25, 2007. An arrest has not been made.

Our Travels
During the past several years Johnny and I loved to travel. Our very favorite vacation spot was Cape Cod which we visited almost every year for the last 13 years. We also took our grandchildren on short trips in Pennsylvania among which were the Grand Cayon, Pennsylvania and Gettysburg.

Salem
We were mesmerized by Salem.
Orlando
We had a wonderful time in Orlando and rented a car and drove to Tallahassee to visit my dearest friend.
Child of my child Heart of my heart Your smile bridges the years between us I am young again ... discovering the world through your eyes You have the time to listen And I have the time to spend. Delighted to gaze at familiar loved features ... made new in you again Through you ... I'll see the future Through me ... you'll know the past In the present we'll love one another As long as these moments last ~~ Author Unknown ~~
To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty; To find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived; This is to have succeeded. - Ralph Waldo Emerson
Flowers are the sweetest things God ever made, and forgot to put a soul into. Henry Beecher, Life Thoughts, 1858
Madame X
Madame X, starring Lana Turner, is my all time favorite movie.
Amish Country
We live a short distance from Amish Country. Their simple way of life is intriguing.
Our Pool
We have a large pool that our entire family enjoys.

Such a lovely family!
Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving a sweet comment.
I'm glad you've started these blogs to help ease the still fresh pain you must be going through. I
Best wishes,
Nikki
I'm not sure the attic is a good place to store your collections. Doesn't it get very hot there?
I too collect Boyd's.
