Hello Sweetie - Thanks for stopping by yesterday - Nancy had told me some about you and I know how hard it will be for you today - not having your dear Johnnie nearby to celebrate Valentine's Day. I'm sure he is looking down on you and knowing you love him from afar these days.
Your family is just amazing, and another sweet baby girl has arrived I see - you are truly blessed.
Hi Sweetie...I will be thinking of you today. I know it won't be easy. It must comfort you to know you have had what some people only dream of...true love that lasts a lifetime! I also know that your dear sweet family will gather around and hold each other up. It is so easy to see what a blessing you are to each other! Hold on to that sweet little baby! I am sending you a big hug... ((((((Sweetie)))) You are in my continued thoughts and prayers! Blessings...Debbie
Hi Sweetie, You were so lucky to have found your true love and soul mate. My parents were young teens when they were married - 53 years ago! Maybe that's the secret! Maybe you grow up together! What ever the secret - I wish you a Happy Valentine's Day! ~ Robyn
Awww Sweetie ♥ Happy Valentine's Day. Your pictures are beautiful. And the poem was perfect..if you want to see what true love looks like, it's in your pictures ♥ I'm so sorry you lost him.
I know you are lonely today. I empathize with you. This is also my first Valentine's Day without the love of my life. My thoughts and my prayers are with you today. What a blessing that we were loved by such wonderful men and will always have our memories. I loved your pictures and what could be more appropriate than the words from that Vince Gill song? You and Johnnie are True Love and that can never be taken from you. Warm hugs........
Happy Valentine’s Day to you too Sweetie... I just kniw Johnny is smiling down at you and dancing in his heart... Hope your day is filled with memories, love, laughter and fun with your loving family...

Oh my sweet friend Sweetie. What a special post. I hope your day is filled with wonderful memories and that you can feel happiness for the beautiful years you had with your precious husband. I am thinking of you today and want to send you a big ♥ hug ♥.
The story of you and your Johnny is much like the story of me and my Johnny. We married when I was just turned 17 too. Happy Valentine's Day to you and yours.
Honestly Sweetie this is the sweetest Valentine I've ever seen. It's so clear through your post that you loved Johnny very, very much and that he loved you too. What a precious gift to have that kind of love in your life.
DEAR SWEETIE, I JUST WANTED TO DROP BY AND WISH YOU A HAPPY VALENTINES DAY AND WAS SO BLESSED BY THE BEAUTIFUL POST ABOUT YOUR PRECIOUS HUSBAND. I KNOW JOHNNY IS LOOKING OVER YOU ESPECIALLY TODAY. SENDING YOU A BIG HUG AS I KNOW THIS DAY MUST BE VERY HARD FOR YOU. YOU HAVE BEEN SUCH A BLESSING TO SO MANY PEOPLE. HUGS debbie
Hi Sweetie, You have a truly wonderful Valentine Story and wonderful memories of your soul mate. You have had a beautiful family and you and Johnny raised them together. You, your faith, your strong work ethic, and you made it work! God bless you, Sweetie.
Mom , This is wonderful tribute to dad. I have always looked up to the both of you and hope that I will find the love that you both had for each other. I cant even imagine what you are feeling today. I always loved those pictures of you two. I just wish all of your new friends on here would of got to meet the love of your life. I LOVE YOU MOM HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!! Your Baby Bam-Bam
Oh Sweetie, you gave me goosebumps. Then when I read Bam Bam's comment it brought tears to my eyes. My middle daughter grew up being called Bam Bam. Because she broke, crashed, crushed every thing she touched. LOL
A wonderful tribute to your dear husband, soul mate and friend. I have just read your comment on my post (re the poem about dogs posted Tuesday last week). And I wanted to share my story with you. Richard, my husband of 31 years, passed away five years ago after the unexpected diagnosis of a brain tumour. After brain surgery he went into a coma and died six week later. We were kindred spirits! My dear labradors were first and foremost his dogs. And his legacy to me (among many other things). The dogs kept me going in simple practical ways - like getting out of bed to take them for a walk every day. My heart goes out to you, my friend. May God strengthen and comfort you! You have such an amazing family too! Love from Thatchwick.
Sweetie: Thanks for stopping by. Enoch actually left 18 journals so his history is vast. His journal entries can be documented by historical church documents and to me that makes it even more fascinating bz you know he wasn't embellishing anything and these events happened just as he depicted them. I love finding out about my ancestors. What part of Illinois did your father come from? Since all my ancestors left by the 1850s or so I know we wouldn't be related but I was just curious. Have a great Sunday.
Hi Sweetie: Now we can add one more thing to our list. When I just turned 18, Bill and I eloped. We were married for 35 years when he died. I love the high school pictures and I can see you in Sherry. I love this entry and the song. I love Vince Gill. I hope you have a good visit today with Haylee. Love Nancy
Dear Sweetie, I'm sorry I wasn't here to read this on V. Day...I was herding 4 grands around! :O) This is such a loving tribute to your valentine. I can't even BEGIN to know how much you miss him. Love, bj
Sweetie...I had to comment on this beautiful post...I've been involved with the "other man" in my life this weekend...my only grandson so I'm late in getting around...but thank goodness I didn't miss this post... yours & Johnny's picture should be in the dictionary under LOVE...not only were you the LOVE of each other's lives...you created a wonderful, loving family together...which unbeknownst to either of you at the time, would someday sustain the one left behind...it was God's plan I have no doubt. Hugs, ♥ Bo
For some reason after I read this post, the song "Young Love" from the 50s came to my mind and it's still there. So many times marriages like this do not work out, I'm glad yours did. The grandbaby in the post below is so sweet. There must be a reason you are called "Sweetie". Happy Sweetie Day. Charlotte
I have been blessed with six daughters, 16 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. My husband, Johnny, who was my best friend and soulmate, passed away unexpectedly on December 14. Every other Sunday our large family gets together at our house and celebrate "Family Sunday." I retired two years ago but still work occasionally.
Our oldest daughter, Sherry Jo, was brutally murdered on November 25, 2007. An arrest has not been made.

Our Travels
During the past several years Johnny and I loved to travel. Our very favorite vacation spot was Cape Cod which we visited almost every year for the last 13 years. We also took our grandchildren on short trips in Pennsylvania among which were the Grand Cayon, Pennsylvania and Gettysburg.
