Tarts & Tart Burners - A Matter of Opinion

I love to walk into my home and smell the delicious scent of clean linen, cranberry nut bread, French vanilla, or sage & cranberry apple (to name a few). Of course, I'm talking about tarts burning in a tart burner. I have read that some of my blogger friends don't care for the scent of tarts and others, like me, love them. I have several tart burners but use only one at a time. I have found that a tart can be cut in half.

I have received tarts as gifts, bought them at craft shows, gift shops, and on line. This chest sits beside the fireplace. It's a wonderful storage place.

It is filled with tarts of various scents. The blue tarts were made by my granddaughter, Erin.

I received this pretty box as a gift.

It was filled with chunks and tarts. The chunks are made by Thompson Candle Company which is located just 12 miles away. They have a wide distribution area.

My favorite tarts are McCall's. My friend, Sue, who owns Sue's Floral Art, is the dealer for McCall's candles and tarts in our area. I have this bowl of tarts sitting on the coffee table in the living room. A McCall's tart burns for three days without losing the scent.
I am off for a day of shopping with a friend today. I hope that each of you has a wonderful day. It's supposed to get up to 40 degrees. Hurray!!!

I really like your tart burners, I've never heard them called that. But, I love candles and most always have them burning somewhere in my house. I'll be looking for them somewhere. I do have many of the litte candles from Yankee Candle store. Didn't know that's what they were called. So enjoy your day of shopping, be sure to show us what you bought.

Hugs,
Chris

The first tart burner I ever got was a gift from my niece. I love them. I think they smell wonderful and are so much safer to burn since the candles just go out on their own.
Yours are really great, what a collection. I san an amish one in the mix. LOL.
I bet the chest and box just smell so good when you open it.
Have fun shopping.
Love Nancy

Good Morning Sweetie... I am a LOVER of the tarts... I use to burn them all the time in my home but sadly in Tassie I have no room for the tarts... so they are packed away with all of my other treasures... But you’re right it is a great way to give scent to your home... Loved your post today

When you smile, I smile, that’s the deal.
I will not walk past you and not look you in the eyes and not acknowledge you.
Instead we will pass each other and say hello.

Not with our words, for they are not the same; but with our faces.
I meet you and I see there is good in your eyes, there's passion in your heart and there's a friendly hello in your smile.

And for the first time we can relate and appreciate each other.
That’s all it takes, that’s where it starts.
Because I know that you will smile and I will smile and the rest is easy.

I love them all...tarts, jars, sticks, and oil.
After raising a houseful of stinky little kids, it's such a joy to have a home that smells good;)
Have a great time shopping today...with I could go with you.

My niece and sister are both big fans but I rarely use any scents in my house as hubby and i both can be sensitive to such things. I do enjoy burning a candle once in a while. My sis found a cool thing that works like one of those plug in air fresheners but it is with the was like your tarts.

I even use them here at the office.
Have a fun day with your friend today.
It is almost 50 here already but tonight it is going to change back to cold and sleet.
God bless.

Oh man, you'll get no argument from me -or from my daughters or even my son too, about candles and tarts. All four of us love 'em too! My son has big candles, medium sized ones and small ones all over in his house and he appreciates candle gifts just as much as his sisters and I do. Love 'em, just love 'em!
Wish I had an assortment of the tarts like you do. I'd be in 7th heaven for sure.

I love candles as well as tarts and have a few myself which I love the smell of:-) I especially love the "homey" smells like apple cinnamon and vanilla. What a wonderful idea to use that little chest to store your tarts, I can well imagine how wonderful it smells when you open it. Love your tart burners, I've never seen any like them!! Have fun shopping today:-) xoxo

I simply LOVE tarts and used to have them going all the time. They do a great job of getting rid of the stinkiness of the kids...LOL!
The cat knocked my electric burner off though and I can't use the candle ones with the daycare kids present.
I might just have to get on-line and see what I can find, because I miss the fragrances.

Have a wonderful day shopping !

I like burning candles in my house simply because, having no sense of smell, I don't know how my house smells. I don't have a tart burner although I do have some tarts which have found their way home with me. I'll have to look for one of those. I like the tins you have.

I love tarts. To me they burn so much better than candles and last so much longer. I LOVE the same scents as you! MMMM vanilla! YUMMY

I'm with you. I'm a tart lady. I love using tarts for my home. For one because they don't last as long as candles so you can change up the scents more often. Same thing with votive candles. But don't get me wrong. I love candles to. I love to light a new candle. I hope you had a nice day shopping with your friend.

I have never heard of them called tart burners! I have one almost like your second picture. Now I will have to go up into the attic and get it out. The inside and center of mine holds a regular candle. Being afraid of fires, I haven't used it. I bought it in Ephrata at the Moravian village.

Have a happy day shopping.

Blessings,
Cheryl
